Wedding Invitations

Mar 18, 2009 by

Invitations are one of my favorite details about the wedding. I love getting wedding invitations in the mail, to see what that couple chose to showcase their wedding announcement. The invitations are very important, when guest open the envelope to see the invitation they get the first glimpse of how your wedding will be.

A few helpful things to remember when preparing for your invitations: Make sure to take a envelope that’s ready to mail to your post office to weigh, to make sure you have the correct postage on them. Invitations should go out 7-9 weeks before the wedding date, this will give guest plenty of time to respond. For destination weddings you can send them out sooner, if you did not send save-the-dates. Help guest out and put a stamp on the response card.

**Postage goes up May 11, 2009. So if you are buying stamps now for your invitations, make sure to get the forever stamps or send them before then.
