Wedding Invitation Tips
I love sharing information with people and I think that’s also why I enjoy being a wedding planner. If I can help, I don’t mind jumping in and helping. As a wedding planner, I am able to share info with brides that have not planned a wedding before and don’t exactly know the ends and outs of wedding planning.
I am not a expert on wedding invitations, but as a planner I know some information about them. What works and what doesn’t work, so I wanted to share a couple tips that I’ve seen lately that will help you when handling your wedding invitations.
Tip number 1- The RSVP and the reception card should be two totally different cards. When guest mail the RSVP back, they will not have the reception location info.
Tip number 2- If you decide to write the invitation addresses yourself, verify that you have good handwriting and it is eligible.
Tip number 3- The invitation or the save-the-dates will be the first thing guest see regarding your wedding. Verify that the invitations are cohesive with the colors and theme of the wedding, even down to the text color.
If you have questions about your wedding invitations, ask a wedding professional. I also really like the Emily Post Wedding Etiquette book, it can help with tons of situations.
