Southern Lace Styled Shoot
I recently styled a shoot at Front Porch Farms with Hurst Photography. We had two models for the shoot, so I wanted to feature Janee, I feel like this gown was made for her.
The dress she wore was an all lace cut-out back gown. It was from The Bride Room and it was so gorgeous!!
Bonnie with Belles Fleurs created the florals for the shoot, which turned out amazing!!
Check back later for the rest of the shoot!
Non-Alcoholic Specialty Drinks
I have noticed lately that more and more couples are wanting non-alcoholic speciality drinks for their cocktail hour. I love it because it gives me an opportunity to be creative and come up with some alternatives.
Most couples want a drink that’s still fun and tasty, here are a couple options:
Sparkling Cider, Cherry Juice, and a cherry! This one even works if you change the juices.
Love Bellini’s, then just subtract the champagne for sparkling cider. Sparkling Cider, Peach Nectar, and Lemon juice.
This Watermelon Breeze sounds amazing. Watermelon, Lime juice, Pink Grapefruit, and Tonic Water, perfect refreshing drink for a outdoor wedding.
There are so many different options for Non-Alcoholic drinks that you can incorporate into your wedding reception or cocktail hr. Check out this article from Martha Stewart Weddings with more recipes.

Buttons and Bow-tie Baby Sprinkle
I really enjoy doing smaller parties and this one was even better, because it was for my sister. My sister was pregnant with her second child, so we decided to do a Baby Sprinkle. I wanted the color scheme to be clean and crisp and nothing is more clean than stripes. My sister had a perfect blue and white fabric that we created runners in and incorporated through the party decor. We paired kelly green with the blue and white stripes. Kristen Steele was our fabulous photographer for the day!
I made bow-ties using a striped ribbon to add to a glitter garland and kelly greens ones for the invitations. My sister is also a graphic designer, so she made the party invitations.
I found a button punch and cut out bow-ties to add to the napkins.
I made all the food and food tags to coordinate with the decor. Also adding bow-ties and button picks!
At most family functions I always get a request to make my fruit tarts that are so good. So to simple the tarts, I used shortbread cookies with the cream cheese filling and added blueberries to follow the decor.
I created a lime blueberry punch and added straw flags!
The new baby’s initials.

Congrats-You’re Engaged
I love this time of year when everyone is getting engaged and starting to think about their wedding and all the details. I know this is crazy, but I just get a rush when I start the planning process with a bride, the colors, the food, what dress to pick, ah I love it!! Each year I write a blog post to each years brides to hopefully help them with this process, check out last years post here.
Girls dream of their wedding day, but when it comes down to really planning it, sometimes they get stuck. I have had so many girls tell me, “I know what I want, I just don’t know how or who to go to to get it”. That’s where a professional wedding planner comes in, they know exactly what each vendors services are and how they can help you. I would love to see every bride in Nashville with a wedding planner, no matter what your budget is, there is a wedding planner for you.
Two tips that I want to share with all newly engaged couples, take a couple weeks to just enjoy the engagement and each other, before you jump into the planning process. Lastly, hire a professional wedding planner!!

2012 Pantone’s Wedding Inspiration
Each year Pantone chooses a color that will be the most popular color of the year. That color is then incorporated in clothes, assesories, and more importantly weddings. This years color is:
I enjoy finding out what the color is each year and then trying to incorporate it into some of my clients weddings. So I created this wedding inspiration to show one way to use the color with your wedding decor and details. I paired the Tangerine Tango with a cool Turquoise, and I am in love with this combination!!
Of course this is just one of the combinations using the Tangerine Tango, chose a combo that you love and can incorporate into your wedding decor.
